Kevin Wickliffe

Kevin originally learned to play drums from his older neighbor who was a member of the Jets, a Sky Ryders® feeder corps. As a child, he and his family regularly attended the Star Drum-O-Rama at Gowans stadium. In the fall of 1986, he and his cousin Mark Wickliffe joined the Sky Ryders together, recruited as part of a coordinated effort by the corps to greatly increase its members. He played xylophone for the 1977-1979 seasons and snare for the 1980 and 1981 seasons.

While in his last two years with the corps, Kevin was a music major at Hutchinson Community College. After graduating he transferred to the University of Kansas. Although he changed his major to business administration, he performed with the marching band, jazz band and basketball band at KU. He eventually graduated from the KU with law and business degrees.

After working in investment compliance for many years, Kevin is currently an attorney with the University of Kansas Legal Services for Students. He lives in Lawrence Kansas with his wife Lori and has two children and three grandchildren in the Kansas City area. He is still very active in music performance.
